SEPTEMBER'10:: Take a look at the images of China and China Festival. This summer I went for a trip to the western and southern part of China.

FEBRUARY '10: Last December and January we have made a trip to Nepal. In two weeks we visited the capital of Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park, the Kathmandu Valley (Bhaktapur, Nagarkot and Dhulikel ). The trip was great; very friendly people, beautiful weather, breathtaking views and beautiful remainings of the Newari culture. Really worth exploring!
AUGUST '09: The selection of our journey to Cambodia and Thailand is finished. You can new see some highlights of this trip; monsoon in Phnom Penh, the magnificient temples of Angkor and Siem Reap area and the capital of Thailand, Bangkok.
AUGUST '09: The last half year I have been very busy with our new house, so unfortunately I had no time left for photographing. Last March we took a short break and visited Egypt (Cairo, Aswan, Luxor and Dahab on the Red Sea ). I just finished the selection, so please take a look at the new folder on my website. In July we visited Cambodia and Thailand, we are still busy making a good selection and hope to upload the images in a short while.
OCTOBER: This month the exposition of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2008 will be opened in the Natural History Museum of London. This competition is the world's most prestigious wildlife photography showcase. I also participated in this competition, I sent 13 pictures of which 1 image reached the final and the other 12 images all went to the semi final stage. Unfortunately not a winning price, but I think I may be happy by with this result. Entries were sent from about 78 countries. AUGUST: Take a look at the New Vietnam images add on my website. This is a selection of images which I made during a 3-week trip through the North of Vietnam last month.
Vietnam was amazing; nice landscapes, interesting places like Sapa / Bac Ha and Halong Bay, colourful minority people and delicious food. I especially enjoyed the capital of the country, Hanoi, with it's busy streetlife with ' millions' of motor bikes, street vendors but also the quiet and relaxing moments at Hoan Kiem Lake. Really worthwhile visiting this beautiful country!
Take a look at a new theme: Starlings. This autumn I photographed for about one week during sunset a roosting site of common starlings. Mostly they were welcomed by a sparrow hawk who tried to catch one of the birds for dinner. One time, even three hawks were waiting for their snacks to come! BV

OCTOBER: The image of the ' Barbary macaque in cage' has won the first prize in the category Men & Nature of the European Wildlife Photographer of the year 2006!

SEPTEMBER: From the 15th till the 20th of September I will take part on a press trip to Morocco, organised by the Moroccon Tourist Board of the Benelux and Royal Air Maroc.
