Biography

I was born in Noordwijk , Holland in 1979. As a little boy I was already interested in nature and filled my spare time with watching birds in the dunes and forest near our house. When I got older, around 18 years old, travelling became a new interest. Especially to far distant countries where culture and nature are totally different of ours in Western Europe. In this period I started photographing. It soon became clear to me that photography is for me the way to express my creativity, due to situations which I encounter during trips and when watching wildlife in the field. With the images on my website I hope to show people the diversity of countries, the different kind of people who live on our globe and appreciation for the wildlife with whom we share our planet.

My images are published in Dutch, German and American travel brochures and in Dutch calendars, bird and nature magazines.
